This was in the Oklahoma City area, time frame 1979-1985. Central State University's radio station (then named KCSC) was classical by day, but went new-wave-punk-powerpop after midnight. The slot was called "The Insect Lounge," which could have been a reference to The Mutants' 1980 song ...
And because I worked a day job, I would often tune in and start a cassette to record the broadcast off-air, until the tape ran out. Then I went to bed. The next day I would listen to the tape, in hopes of finding treasures.
This worked amazingly well, introducing me to lots of fun music (see my music blog Spock's Record Round-Up).
But there's one song I haven't been able to identify. Sadly, I lost the cassette off-air-radio recording years ago. But, here's a transcription of much of the lyrics from memory. As you can tell, the chorus of the song always involves the phrase "Do the Nip."
“Do the Nip”
Do the nip, it’s really hip
Do the nip, you’ll really flip
To do the nip you don’t need no tutor
All you need is a plastic Buddha
Riding in rickshaws saves on gas
Join the fad that’s gonna last
Do the nip, it’s really mellow
Do the nip, c’mon paint your skin yellow
Do the nip, it’s really nice
Do the nip, c’mon mama, subsist on rice
So do the nip, it’s so easy to do
You can even grow the Fu Manchu
Do the nip, it’s a snap
Do the nip, c’mon be a Jap
Now act as if you’re four foot ten
Trade your dollars in for yen
Take your fingers, slant your eyes like so
Refer to Americans as “Joe”
[Hey Joe riff]
Hey Joe, where ya goin’ with that Teriyaki steak in your hand?
………………
And suck some pea pods drenched in sauce
Now crowd your cousins into a one-room flat
Rid your body of all its fat
Well, that's my quest. This song MIGHT BE on the 1980 EP by a group called Aunt Helen, but I would want to verify that before shelling out several bucks for a copy on Discogs.

Can any of you folks help me? I appreciate your thoughts!
