Need help identifying song (c. 1982)

She listed the song as "Obsession - Conspiracy of EQ (???)" in the description, meaning she isn't 100% sure what it is either. My usual methods for locating lost new wave have not been successful in this instance. 
It seems that the song is indeed titled "Obsession", considering the subject matter. However, I cannot find any evidence of a band under the given name above. Perhaps there is a misspelling on the poster's end.
