12"/80s/4 ... [Sorry, it's a fake release]

12"/80s/4 ... [Sorry, it's a fake release]

Postby obs » Sat Oct 07, 2006 10:51 pm

Just saw this at a BT site but couldn't find any info on it anywhere (asides from the nfo file).

Okay, since it is 4, I assume that 12"/80s/Dance is 3, and looking at the tracklist, this one seems to combine the two series.

Please pipe up if you've got more info. Maybe it's a fake (I didn't download it ... only the nfo ... so I don't know if the quality is consistent with a legitimate release).

This is most likely a bootleg, just take a look at disc 4 only four tracks and one of them being a "funkymix" that was distributed through promo only, Ultimix, etc., there is no way that could be correct. I also see a "razormaid" mix on there as well, only original 12" extended/remixed version could make an accurate 12" compilation, looks to be cool, and would love to get my hands on a few of those songs.

Yeah, I downloaded OMD Locomotion, and I can hear vinyl static (although very very minor).

BTW, there's been Razormaid mixes on official CD releases.

PS. I would send you the BT file, but it's from a member site, so any traffic would count towards my ratio.

Thanks but it wouldn't matter anyway as I have 56K and would take days for me to just hear one song [xx(]

Hm, now that you mention it yes, Blue Monday (Razormaid) was featured on a CD compilation called Hit That Perfect Beat, but I don't think that many were leaked out and only very few comps hold a razormaid mix, and it's a more popular tune

There were a couple of Razormaid mixes that became commercially available -- notably Oingo Boingo "Dead Man's Party."

And M's "Pop Muzik" is 70s; unless they put on that horrid 1989 remix.
