My apologies if I offended anyone with my comments about "Sophisticated Boom Boom". I do tend to get carried away by my passion for music, especially when it is a project so near and dear to my heart (and ears!). Before this re-master ever came to fruition, it had always been a dream of mine to have it re-issued with better sound and bonus tracks. Scott, has made this a reality and all the time and pain-staking effort on his part really shines on through. I can't wait for all of you to hear the final result!!! It'll take your breath away!!!!

Most sincerely,

Jeffrey

Thank you for the positive feedback. I'm happy it was not a disappointment. Hope it sells well because I would love to do the early singles compilation, this time with Pete's involvement.

Quoth virgin megastore, union square:

"oh, we don't have any. we have one on order for someone, but it won't be here for weeks. times square has 3 on order, but it's special order, so it will be a while."

ideal copy it is, i guess- but did no store in new york get one? bizarre.

rebel rebel got one, they special ordered it for someone. i got busy at work so didn't call the other two.
but... new york. new york city. 5? 6? 7 copies were ordered via retail?

EDIT:
record runner and rebel rebel just got shipments in today, and there are a few copies available here in the city-
i just got mine, and hoooboy is it nice. sounds great, looks great, etc.
the liner notes are informative, and there is an attention to detail that is nice to see. i like the two "that's the way" mixes overlapping too, although the purist in me is iffy about it. ah, screw the purist! it's a great 9 minutes of synthfunk!

wonderful job, i hope there are more. and scott: way to keep your vinyl PRISTENE. it's amazing, the remixes.

Hey Bruiser,

Was so excited that you finally got "Sophisticated Boom Boom"!!!! I'm so happy that you love it too. Scott really did a freaking phenomenal job on this release and the proof is in the hearing!!! I so want this disc to sell - BIG TIME - so that Scott will get to work his magic on other DOA releases!!!!

And speaking of Scott, I find it really unfair that there is this negativity directed at him in another thread. He really knows his stuff and has proved it with this release as well as the other ones he was involved in. I never thought that he was putting down the other release at all. He even said that it was worth buying for the bonus features. Never once did I think he was being arrogant or better than anyone else. It was so sad that certain people mistook what he said and made it worse than it actually is. Look, he even bought the release himself and that speaks volumes about Scott being a fan. He's great and I salute him because of all the care he takes to re-master classic music!!!

Sorry for venting but I felt like I had to.
