You assume it's R&B because it has "soul" in the title?

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Searching For the Young Soul Rebels
The The - Soul Mining
Joe Jackson - Body & Soul
Replacements - Don't Tell A Soul
Joy Division - Heart & Soul
Er, Beatles - Rubber Soul

“The album has a very organic and direct feel to it. It's not a blues record, but it definitely has a soulful vibe.”

I just wish they would (also) release their many unreleased tracks that they must have done since their start in 1980. That way, they could appeal to all fans as well as their own creativity.... everyone happy.....

"Angel of Love" sounds really dull. I hope it's not an accurate indication of what's to come.

Here's some more info on it:

Love the title, the cover is so-so, the music is still a question. Will have to listen to it first before I say anything on.

I mentioned this in another thread here, I heard Martin Gore on a show a ways back talking about how the new disc is supposed to sound like Black Celebration/Speak and Spell, or atleast that's the sound they're going for. He mentioned buying up all kinds of VOX machines and old musical equipment off ebay and so forth. I'd love to hear an old school sounding DM record in today's musical climate.
