I've listened to the record over and over again. But it's worse than A-ha's last album. Even "Good news..." is a masterpiece compared to this
Are you going to start screwing over Redo like you screwed over MSK with your endless requests? what an idiot you turned out to be MATT

And I thought that "Good News" was a masterpiece! Compared to what happened for the ten years [ouch!] prior. "Direction of The Heart" was a bit of a disappointment from The Minds. The first in a loooooong time. And not a grave one, but one that lets the wind out of their sails. I think they have only 1-2 more in them at the snail's pace they prefer. Here's hoping they go out on top swinging.

i finally got my deluxe copy the other day.

it's a good album, but not a great one.
at this point, at least they're still putting out music while they can.

i don't expect too many more though, but its up to them.

would like to see some more singles, and remixes, like they
did with the last album.

later

Looks like they just released "Human Traffic" as a single, now simply re-titled "Traffic". There's an edited version and an acoustic version on the single.

I normally really enjoy a new Simple Minds album ("Cry" and "Good News From The Next World" are probably the only two I'm not keen on), but this one really left me wanting more. Compared to their last outing, which I loved, I just can't get into this one.

While I don't expect another "New Gold Dream" out of them, I really hope their next album is a bit more adventurous than this one.
