Looks like an expanded version of the debut album basically. I wonder if they'll use the original long version of I Ran which times at 4:55 min. I hope they could also include the Space Age Love Song (US 7" ) as well.

True they both had the same timing but the intros were slightly different . DJPault posted the US mix some years ago on his website.

I wonder if this collection finally has the 1st version of single Talking (4:33min.) which was released in 1981on Bill Nelson's Cocteau Records label . The tracklist isn't very clear on this, besides that is has (It's Not Me) Talking (which is released on CD many times before). The B-side (which is Factory Music (4:28min.) ofcourse) seems to be on this one already .

Same Here. Although i was somewhat confused about the Cherry Red remaster. To me it sounded light on the bass. I'm wondering if the new 2022 remaster will be more bass heavy or is the actual LP supposed to sound like that?

I have the original USA pre-emphasis CD release from 1988. It sounds decent with de-emphasis applied, but I was initially excited for the Cherry Red remaster in 2008, hoping for a beefier sound. The album tracks on that release sounded almost indistinguishable from my 1988 CD and I had to apply my own EQ to some of the bonus tracks (esp. "Pick Me Up") to make them listenable. Very disappointed.

I have since picked up the 2001 BMG AFOS compilation "Platinum & Gold" which has equisite mastering. Of the 4 AFOS comps I've bought over the years, it's by far the best. Every track is full-bodied with much needed, but beautifully balanced, low end. With the new deluxe set being handled by BMG, I'm hoping the same remastering approach will be applied.

That's odd. As this US 7" matches the UK 7":

AFAIK there is no 1982 extended mix of "I Ran" so wonder what this is?

The debut expanded album available for preview digitally now. The main album sounds better than the Cherry Red cd with a richer/punchier sound. The remixes and Peel Sessions sound great although Space Age Love Song (Single Edit) seems to be a vinyl transfer. I've ordered the 3cd through Amazon so I should have it soon.

yes, i'm listening to the tracks now.

its the best quality we've had for awhile now.

definitely worth it for the value.

also, you can get the b-sides on vinyl, with the record store day 2023 coming up.

and from discogs:
'(It's Not Me) Talking (Remix)' and the Janice Long Session are noted as -
"This recording has been mastered from vinyl or original tapes. While efforts have been made to improve the audio quality, the recording is included here as an artefact of interest and is not a representation of the original audio quality."

Track 3-9 is incorrectly listed as 'Man Made' whereas it is actually the track 'Committed'.

Mine arrived too today, cheap small package for a digipack... soundwise it's okay (only listened to disc 2) and can't really complain because I now have the rest of the studio material which was missing (Talking + B-side etc.).
Glad that I bought the Remixes & Rarities collection way back in 2017 because on those you have the other single versions of I Ran which are missing here.

Isn't track 12, disc 2 listed as I Ran (12" Mix) just the album version again? It has the same running time.
