The Waterboys "Atlantic Rain..." Out July 17, 2026

Mike Scott has been doing his own thing for a while now... I like him as an artist, but stylistically he's a bit hard to keep up with...lol.

So, when we talk about The Waterboys, we expect a concept, a very specific atmosphere... But the quality remains.
In 43 years, thankfully there hasn't been a rehash of the first 3 albums which marked the first era of the group (at the same time, I don't know if I'm being completely honest in writing that...lol) But the rest isn't bad either!
This is a compilation with lots of surprises.

There's this new release called "Atlantic Rain: The Lost Fisherman's Blues Recordings," scheduled for July 17th, which complements "The Magnificent Seven: The Waterboys Fisherman's Blues/Room to Roam Band, 1989-90," a 6-CD box set!!! featuring two absolutely magnificent albums.

I can't find any excerpts; I'm probably not searching correctly for "Atlantic Rain..." 3 CDs.
In any case, a sonic testament to an extraordinary era for the band.
