For the most part, very few artists have a say in where their tracks get licensed. I have only encountered two instances of artists who have control over where their tracks are used and have denied usage on this compilation series.
The hardest part in doing these cds is definitely locating masters.

I'm guessing he meant the 5:56 Phil Harding 12" mix from the USA 12" and USA Promo Cd-single. It's always been, in my opinion, the greatest remix of that track. I assume licensing for it must be complicated as it's never been released anywhere else in 22yrs? The one on "Introspective" was a variation on it, but an overall lackluster mix that went on far too long and never really went anywhere. I would buy "RetroActive 8" at full price even if this was the one and only track on it!

Looking forward to "RetroActive 7", I've enjoyed (and bought) all releases in the series. A few of my wants in addition to the above PSB track would be:
