Classix Nouveaux "Liberty Singles" Jan 18, 2010.

I know I'm late to post my general opinion about the three albums of CN. But as a reponse to the discussion going on earlier in this thread, I have to say that IMO La Verite is a much better album than Secret. For me Secret has no songs of the quality like Never again, 628, Is it a dream, 1999. Although I have to admit that the sound on La Verity from time to time really is a little bit bombastic - as already mentioned. But I fully agree that Night People is the masterpiece of Classix Nouveaux. When I listened to it for the first time back in 1981 it blew me away.

Well, those times were great with all that New Romantic stuff going on. Every week new fantastic songs to discover in the british charts. Sigh..

Cheers,

I like all Cn's albums
im glad they evolved as time went by

Night People is a good album- excellant debut
La verite is the same-

they are excellant cos Sal produced them

Secret is artistically great- I like the songs alot esp Manitou and around the world- Alex Sadkin was a great producer and its a pity this album wasnt prmoted much because I am sure that if it had of been - it would have been the album that would have launched Classix into super stardom
Im glad they changed with each album cos to record the same stuff on every album gets tedious over time

and I think heart and soul by sal solo is a great record minus san diamano- was never a fav of mine
