But didn't that version omit the "Stealing Cake To Eat The Moon" intro ?

I'm getting Journeys To Glory for £6.99 because i preordered before the price went up and Diamond for £10.99 both from Amazon UK. Sounds like a mistake similar to the one with them asking £70 for Seven And The Ragged Tiger which is now down to £12.99 yet they are still asking £70 for Duran Duran. I noticed both Spandau albums are not being released in the States till the 23rd March so they will probably rectify the mistake before then.

Same here - I pre-ordered Journeys when Amazon had it mistakenly at £7.98, the they knocked another pound off so I cancelled and re-ordered it at the lower price. Not seen Diamond lower than £10.99 anywhere (yet).

If you didn't cancel the order when Amzon dropped the price, they would of have to have giving it to you for the lowest price as it was on pre-order.............

In the thread regarding the Duran Duran Deluxe reissues of their s/t debut album and Seven And The... I mentioned that I have already received the both Spandau Deluxe reissues. So I was asked how the Spandau 6 panel digipaks are and if I were impressed.

And yes, I like the 6 panel digipaks. But that's my opinion. I know that many of us are no friends of them. It has nice pics from the group of their early new romantics period and also from the covers of the 12" of To Cut A Long... and Chant No.1. The front cover has some sort of a "frame" but only on the left side: frame for Journeys is black and for Diamond is ruby. (Sorry, couldn't describe it more precise) I'm not quite sure if I like it better than without frame, but it makes the design look more special. Booklet is a little bit short.

I would like to make a vinyl transfer companion cd which includes all the versions which were omitted on these both Deluxe editions. There are only a few tracks missing as the tracklists are excellent overall. I would appreciate your help on compiling this cd.

These versions are for sure missing:
>Journeys To Glory:
To Cut A Long Story Short (b side 7")
To Cut A Long Story Short (b side 12")
>Diamond:
She Loved Like Diamond (Instrumental)(2:55) (b side 7" = 12")

I'm still not quite sure about these versions:
Musclebound (12" version) ?? > different to album version??
Chant No. 1 (a side 7") > different to album version??
Instinction (for this track I'm most unsure regarding missing versions):
Album version (4:48) > included!

12" version from UK 12" (3:36) (prod. Trevor Horn) > included!
> same as 7" version??
> and same as Re-recorded Version from Australia 12"??

Remix version from Diamond 4x12" (6:57) >> included!
> same as 12" version from US promo 12"??
> same as Re-mixed And Extended Version from Australia 12"??

But that's it IMO. The following versions were discussed but are included - as far as I can see:
To Cut A Long Story Short (a side 7" = album version)
Remixes from Diamond 4x12" > all included on disc 1!
She Loved Like Diamond (3:37) (a side 12" = remix of diamond 4x12")
She Loved Like Diamond (2:55) (a side 7" = album version)
Paint Me Down (a side 7" = album version)

I'm looking forward to your comments [:)]

Hi,
There's also 'Man With Guitar', a version of Paint Me Down on the b-side of the PMD 7".

no to musclebound [but will check]
Chant is the same
instinction 7" is a remix

Not sure, but there are only 4 versions of instinction. album / 7" / 12" and the version on Reformation CD

Remix version from Diamond 4x12" (6:57) >> included!
> same as 12" version from US promo 12"??
> same as Re-mixed And Extended Version from Australia 12"??

Not sure of these, check discogs for the times, but will think that these are just plain 12" mixes, haven't heard of anything different.

But that's it IMO. The following versions were discussed but are included - as far as I can see:
To Cut A Long Story Short (a side 7" = album version)

I can help you out with all of these apart from US and Australian promos (as not sure if different), but if these are and you get them, please feel free to post or mail me.

I'll have a look at my Spandau stuff tonight..........

Got mines as well[:)] The booklets don't have much information in them at all just some pictures and Trevor Horn isn't credited at all in regards to Instinction but overall the sound quality is very good. Just listening to Journeys To Glory it's hard to be believe this is the same band which released True only a couple of years later.

I'll have to check here with Amoeba Records in San Francisco on Mar.9th. They have Diamond listed at $22.99 but no Journeys To Glory.
