FGTH " Liverpool" 2cd deluxe edition

Postby thorpy2112 » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:54 pm

I was very lucky to get an advance copy for reviewing a month ago; at the time there was no question of it being delayed for months - in fact it was still showing on the USM / Salvo website alongside Claudia Brucken and The Art of the 12"...

I really hope it will be cleared for release soon (before September anyway!!) as it's a fantastic reissue and beautifully packaged / remastered.

Have a good weekend

Usually ships within 6 to 10 days. I wouldn't read anything into that it won't be released till September if it's released at all that is and if it is i would imagine it will be an entirely different track list.

I'm surprised that I was able to buy my copy of Liverpool so fast and now it seems to be out of stock everywhere. By the way has anyone bought Paul Rutherford's Oh World reissue . Amazon doesn't seem to have it on stock.

You were lucky you got a copy before they put a block on it. If i had stuck with where i first ordered it from Play.com instead of changing to amazon because it was a pound cheaper i would have had a copy myself. I still think it's a disgrace that after two months there still hasn't been an explanation as to why this was withdrawn. The release date for Oh World is the 25th April which seems to be the norm now for Cherry Red to delay releases.

Why do labels put releases out and then at the lady minute delay them by several weeks ? Bloody frustrating !

I've seen Liverpool on www.newalbumreleases.net. Don't know about the quality though.

<br>Most of the mixes for these two tracks appeared on the excellent "Twelve Inches" set. I'd like to see special DJ edits, unreleased mixes and alternate versions.
"young person's guide to 12 inch" is still not out full-length, is it? i love that mix. maybe it is...
oh! and all the "wildlife" versions would be great- those were gorgeous, with the string sections-
The full version is on the CD single and also appears on Back To The 80's - The Long Versions 2 not the easiest CD's to pick up to be honest and that Back To The 80's goes for about £40 normally. It was really annoying buying Reload at the time to find that they had faded the ending and i'm positive they used that edit for that Japanese box set Return To The Pleasuredome as well.
Is it 10:05 long? If so its on Grand 12 inches 6. The ben liebrand compilations...

According to Amazon (US), mine shipped today; will be interesting to see if the track listing is the same as noted prior. But six months later; it's on it's way!
