The compilation went straight to Number 19 in the UK charts.

Pretty good I say.

"Broken Glass Park" has a real big trademark "Simple Minds" sound but the verses don't really have a strong tune/melody. Great chorus though!

Totally agree Sensoria 19 is pretty amazing in this day and age. Especially when you consider the appalling chart positions of Singles collections / Best ofs / /Very best ofs / Greatest hits for many other big bands over the years. Maybe doing it (almost) perfectly is the way to go. Next Duran Duran for me. Double CD of singles, chronological order, correct single mixes and of course mastered well! Also, quadruple for Madonna, double for Bananarama, double for Adam Ant / Adam and the Ants, triple for Queen, double for The Thompson Twins, single for Kraftwerk (single edits) and a double for Madness after they have finished releasing from this latest album (new single out this week). I'll keep on dreaming though regarding even a single one of these releases EVER happening!

Yeh, singles collections/best ofs/very best ofs/greatest hits sets did more than well in the charts up to circa 6 or 7 years ago indeed, Neil Kelly. And I would like to see that happening now again too. Charts these days really do look appalling (Well said that!) and seeing a compilation as great as this entering the Top 20 is just brilliant, especially when a band like Simple Minds is about.
Had it been released circa 10 or 15 years back, it would've finished much higher, no contest.
Every band/artist we love so dear around deserved a compilation as comprehensive as this.
The Simple Minds one became one of my favourite ones ever. Love each and every minute of it.
One of the finest examples of how compilations should be done too.
