Re-Flex "re"issues coming

Postby pinkyblue82 » Fri Oct 08, 2010 3:46 am

A 6 disc set that doesn't include the original extended versions or 7-inch versions of Hurt and Politics? Could you have told me that before I bought it? Someone has some explaining to do. However, I will say that everything about the set is very well done. Perhaps a 7th cd can be released with the original 12" mixes and whatever else is missing. And the guys overnighted my box when they realized there was a problem with my order. And gave me a gorgeous free t-shirt. So far I really like tracks 7 and 9 on Humanication so I'm pleased to finally have this unreleased LP. And Jennifer, you've been extremely sweet and helpful throughout this process.

Thank Flex Fan...I'm going to have to hold off promoting/playing on my show the cost and shipping is a bit steep for me at this moment. I had been looking forward to this since they announced it a few years ago.

Once things have stabilized here health and work wise, I hope I will still be able to get the box set.

Apart from people who read these forums i bet the vast majority of people in the world won't even know about these releases which is very poor marketing. I even tried searching for their website on google but there is no sign of it. I have asked this question before but is there anyway the Politics Of Dancing CD can be sold on it's own without that CD of new mixes and at a reasonable price?

It's a matter time before they'll show up on ebay or amazon.

Zapped up in seconds i bet ? I wish the band would release properly thru amazon or a retailer instead of thru their own website which is really annoying to navigate. There's probably enough demand is out there for their cds.

This was just posted by Paul Fishman on their Facebook page today. For the love of all things good and pure, I really hope it will include the single mix of "Hurt"!

Here's a little news for you!
Over the years Re-Flex have been asked if we would ever record again together?
It was not something that we had ever really considered until recently, following Roly's ill health and life threatening condition. We discussed the idea earlier last year and decided to record one last track. In October 2011 Bax flew to the UK and joined Roly and myself to complete the initial recordings for "Vibrate Generate". This will be the last track we record together so we thought we should try and make it special....... something to remember us by.
We plan to make it available later this year and will also be included in the Re-Flex compilation album titled "Vibrate Generate".

Happy New Year to you all

Tragic loss - his drumming on Humanication & Politics of Dancing albums (in particular); as well as lesser-known gems such as Sam Brown's 'Stop' was truly inspirational.

Glad that he lived to see the Re-Flex legacy honoured beautifully with the Re-Fuse box set :-))

RIP Roland, and I'll let Nigel & Fiona Ross-Scott know (both of whom are long-standing friends of mine).

Cheers
