Don't see that anyone has mentioned these, but Wounded Bird has re-released Jules & The Polar Bears' fenetiks album. Like all the other Wounded Bird releases I've bought, they haven't gone all out on the packaging, instead adding bonus tracks. In this case they've added the b-side "I Only Feel Bad" and the Economy Package EP: "Sometimes Real Life", "Born Out Of Heat", "Alive Alone", and "This Fabrication".

Hip-o Select has gone in the other direction, with a nicely packaged version of Blue Angel's only record. No bonus tracks, but a cardboard replica of the original sleeve, and a fold-out lyric sheet.

Again, apologies if people already know about these...this is my first post.

Welcome milkbone,

I picked up Jules' Wounded Bird rerelease just a couple weeks ago. I've always had a soft spot for "Good Reason". This means all three of the Polar Bears' LPs have been released on CD at one time or another. Had the opportunity to interview Jules on the air many years ago. One of my favorite radio memories. Any Reckless Sleepers fans out there?

Nice call on the Blue Angels. I'd totally missed that one.

This kinda relates to the thread about collecting or listening....I bought the Jules and the Polar Bears CD about 3 weeks ago and have yet to listen to it.

I bought the LP when it first came out (yeah, I'm old) and got hooked on "The Smell of Home", "Good Reason" and "Faded Red". Once I clean up my database (close to 4500 mp3's, about 80% new wave) I'll be able to start listening to stuff I bought.

I'm so far behind on restoring my old stuff....

Max

The music you listen to is the soundtrack of your life.
