Can someone clue me in on the technical details of the new Depeche Mode releases? Does disc 2 play the audio portions on a standard CD player or is that DVD operated only?

Disc two of the remasters are DVDs, so like any other DVD, they're only going to play in a DVD player (or DVD drive).
It's not a DVDPlus or DualDisc, if that is what you were wondering.

Guess they wanted to keep the CD pure to the original album.
On the positive side, at least Mute doesn't seem to use copy control.
