This message is on Karel Fialka's website: "The 12" mix of 'Hey Matthew' is being aquired for release by HushMusic. This will be the first time the 12" mix is availble on CD."

This was one of my three or four requests so I'm getting pretty excited about RA6 as well.

It'll be nice to have this (Extended Remix 6:53) on CD although it has appeared on CD before:

Super Maxi 13 International Dance Hits
Polyphon 816 755-2
West Germany

That is true that the Extended Version of Hey Matthew has been on cd before, but I have seen that cd used for $90. I really hope it made it to RA6.

Any idea of a release date?

Many of the artiests on this series were bigger in the United States and Canada than Europe.

I am finding this series very interesting.

My most wanted track for RA is:

Animal Magic (Extended Version) - Belouis Some

Hope this gets on this RA or the next RA.

Almost compiled now but still much to do. Probably early in the new year. It is looking more and more like RA6 will be the last one of the series, as at present the sales do not make it worth while doing the cds. We will see what happens with this one.

Definitely would like to see the Belouis Some "Animal Magic" Extended Dance Mix on this one. Here's some other suggestions:

Secession - "Touch" (Extended Version)
Shona Laing - "Soviet Snow" (Popstand Mix)
Blue Zoo - "Somewhere In The World There's A Cowboy Smiling"
Bryan Ferry - "Don't Stop The Dance" (Special Dance Mix)
INXS - "What You Need" (Extended Version)
Wide Boy Awake - "Slang Teacher" (Extended Version)
Frazier Chorus - "Typical" (Extended Version)

Thanks for the update Alex. I will be keeping my eyes out for this title next year then. I`m sad to here that this might be the last one, but I appreciate your hard work & dedication with all these wonderful RA comps. You are indeed a true pro & a class act.

Kind Regards, Synth (Paul)

Hopefully, volume 6 will be a success.

There is a very stale factor with regards to many compilations, but the Retro Active series is differant.

Being from Europe - I have only heard of bands like the cure, bonnymen, a-ha etc so the series has being an eye opener to quality music that I was unaware of.

Many 80s music compilations are a re-hash of previous ones.

The Retro Active series is a quality alternative to this.

I just wish all involved with the series the best.

Sad to hear the news Alex. If people only knew what they were missing. I believe the normal number pressed for these kind of releases is around 5,000 copies. How many do you need sold to make it worth continuing? Maybe we can all help or something.
