Wounded Bird responded stating both of the RCA released Polyrock albums will be released early next year.

Both artist's reissues will be hugely welcome. I hope they have access to Polyrock's master tapes ... cleaning up those RCA records for my CD-R version was a real pain.

Does Wounded Bird do remasters from vinyl? I doubt the master tapes are readily available. RCA doesn't exist anymore and I'm not sure why whatever conglomerate it has been folded into would be cooperative.

Wounded Bird seems to take pride in always using original studio master tapes, though they don't do any fancy remastering (which is probably for the best). RCA/BMG merged with Sony and Wounded Bird has a licensing deal with them. I'm confident masters will be used.

LOL. After looking at RCA's roster I understand why I thought they didn't exist.

What's the deal with the Marshall Crenshall reissues on Wounded Bird? I've read that they sounded exactly the same as the original CD's on Warner Bros., (i.e., no remastering) which is why I've refrained from buying these reissues. Do you know if they used the original masters on these?
I will say that The Bus Boys reissue "American Workers" sounded great, though.

[/quote]This is one of the coolest things I've heard in ages. I've waited 20 years for those albums to come out and to see they'll all be available is incredibly sweet.

Hey, how about The Nails "Mood Swing"? That was on RCA. Damn, I'm ready to hear "Home of the Brave" w/out scratches.

Wounded Bird bases their releases on the emails they get from the public. So, if you want them to reissue stuff, go to their site and send them an email. I emailed them about Kissing The Pink, and it worked - they even used my original LPs for the cover art. If they can't get the rights to something, they may send you a quick note back to tell you that.
