Forgot to answer your previous question about the Real Popes. Sorry. Funnily enough I met one of the guys at a party back in 1988. A friend from work's room mate was the singer's sister. As far as I know the record has only been released on vinyl. I haven't got a copy of it, but I'll ask around. Keep you posted.

That would be cool. Had a home made cassette of some of their music given to me by a friend that was lucky enough to travel to Europe several times. Dont remember the songs other than that I liked them.

Any info on Nordland--I thought their song on the comp was cool but know nothing about them, and the CSR site is NOT in English.[?]

@Randy

This is what it says on the CSR page (more or less) http://www.csr-records.ch/swisskulthits/

Formed in 1985. First big gig as supporting act of XYMOX at "Rote Fabrik" Zürich. First national Tour including one highly acclaimed gig at "FRI-SON" Fribourg (together with ThE YOUNG GODS) which was broadcasted live by DRS3 (biggest radion station in Switzerland). In 1987 they recorded their first single "Just Keep It Away"

1989 release of first CD "Mystery". Performance at Montreux Jazzfestival. 1993 release of 2nd CD "Three Clouds" after moving to Italy.

These days, the two members Priska Weber and Mario Scherrer are back in Switzerland again. Once in a while they perform under the name INGALILL

I have their first CD somewhere. Will see if I can dig out some more information.

If you know the cd, you will definitely know "Campari Soda" by Taxi. The song has just entered the national swiss charts, almost 30 years after it has been written. The songs has never been released on 7" so far, but thanks to a commercial by Swiss (national airline" it sees finally the success it deserves.

I will soon get some stuff from the Real Popes and Nordland. Send me a PM as I don't intend to post everything in here once I have it.
