Exciting news from Paul Simpson -

(Quoted directly from www.skyray.co.uk)

" ... pleased to announce that April sees the release of 'Magnitude' a 30 track double CD comprising of the debut Wild Swans album 'Bringing Home the Ashes' and the previously unreleased in the U.K. 'Space Flower' album on Warner Brothers' prestigious Korova/Rhino imprint.

This unexpected but welcome release features 10 bonus tracks comprising of the 12 inch single B-sides 'Holy Holy', 'The World Of Milk And Blood', '1982' and 'Pure Evil' from 1987 on disc one and on disc two 'Tastes Like Tuesday' (a lost nugget from the original 1998 Space Flower album session) Bill Drummonds reworked version of 'Melting Blue Delicious' taken from the original source masters and five demos from the period - 'Sugar Engines', 'Chocolate Bubblegum', 'Lantern Man' 'Magic Hotel' and 'Telescope'.

Russ Sanders has been busily working on the new official Wild Swans web-site and I am in the process of preparing the Paul Simpson My Space pages. Stay tuned for more momentous news." -- Paul Simpson

How is the mastering? Is it loud/bright/harsh? Incandescent was which makes me highly suspicious of buying this set.

I'm not an audio expert but I thought it sounded really good. I think they pretty much kept it at it's original sound, maybe just a little bit louder. It is much better than Incandescent. It's worth it for the bonus tracks of Bringing Home The Ashes. When you listen to those tracks, you will wish they would have made 6 more songs and made another album. Paul's voice is so amazing and the music is just as good. I own both albums and did not regret getting this re-release.

They should have made this a 3 disc set and included a dvd with their videos.
