New Wave Outpost Forum

this was posted on the petheads mailing list:

A friend of mine works at EMI Denmark and apparently Disco 4 is going to be released on july 9th.

Since I have all but 2 of the tracks from Disco 4 I decided to make a disc for myself to see how it would sound togeather. I replaced Atomizer and Rammstein with Blur (Girls & Boys), Bloodhound Gang (Mope), and added Pete Burns (Jack & Jill Party). Does anyone know if there are other Pet Shop Boys remixes that were left off. I know that there are several tracks that they produced, but I am more interested in Remixes. Just a thought.
I don't think Integral has been released as a single. You are right though, more awesome b-sides coming.

Looks like this has been scrubbed by the record company, although the new mixes are out there, and HMV Japan still has it listed as being a forthcoming release.

There are also reports of a NEW ALBUM!! soon (not referring to Disco 4).

And the PSB make a one-off US concert appearance (Hollywood Bowl) in late September.

New album would be awesome.
I guess this is good news, however, the only "Disco" album of theirs that I loved was the first one. There was a whole lot more integrity given to their songs the first time around than on following installments. Ah, the old days of remixing songs!!!!

Damn Straight - they only suckered me once with Disco 2! I've heard better PSB megamixes on bootleg!
So this is it huh?

1. The Killers: Read My Mind (PSB Stars Are Blazing mix)
2. David Bowie with Pet Shop Boys: Hallo Spaceboy (PSB Extended mix)
3. Pet Shop Boys: Integral (PSB Perfect Immaculate mix)
4. Yoko Ono: Walking On Thin Ice (PSB Electro mix)
5. Madonna: Sorry (PSB Maxi-mix)
6. Atomizer: Hooked On Radiation (PSB Orange Alert mix)
7. Rammstein: Mein Teil (PSB There Are No Guitars On This mix)
8. Pet Shop Boys: I'm with Stupid (PSB Maxi-mix)

At this point, I'm not thrilled with this tracklisting. This should have been a bonus disc on this or something. When I buy the Pet Shop Boys, I really want the Pet Shop Boys, not Atomizer, not Rammstein, and definitely not Yoko Ono. [:(!]
