Tim Finn vs Crowded House

Tim Finn vs Crowded House

I don't really see these two as opposing forces but I think it is interesting to compare their recent releases. k?

Tim Finn, Imaginary Kingdom: Beautiful music made to be enjoyed. Diverse (not a PC buzzword in this case).

Crowded House, Time on Earth: Good music made to be radio-ready. Mostly depressing (in a sorta good way). Over-produced, though.

Furthermore (10 point SAT word, btw), I enjoyed both releases. But Tim's just seems to have so much more depth than his lil brudda's. It is surprising to me, assuming that Neil probably had a zillion times the budget as Tim. I realize NF (CH) had some issues after the drummer's tragic suicide. But the music was still too uninvolving.

Click on the Amazon icon above and you can buy Tim's CD for about $5 US.

Also, I get 10% of all purchases. nawwwwt

Whatever. They both rock.
