Cherry Red is releasing the Mo-Dettes album on CD. This was one of my old requests, and they were denied the first time they tried to license. I'm trying to get word if the CD was produced from original master tapes, though I will only post a response here if I find that it is.

From original master tapes, with the exception of one of the bonus tracks, 'White Mice', for which no original master exists or can be traced.

Hallelujah! This is indeed great news.
'White Mice' appeared on Rough Trade's Post Punk vol. 1 and it sounded fine, just a bit too trebly. But I thought that added some energetic spunk to an otherwise already masterful song.
Count me in.

Hopefully everyone will be pleased. We've gone to town on the packaging with this one. The notes include interviews with both Kate and June, and the latter has opened up her photo archive so there are some great shots in there.
