Any news on this cd?

Released 10/11/2008

"80s Niteclub is a the ultimate 80s dance tracks in the mix for the Xmas party season. Featuring the ultimate 80s tracks – the biggest hits from the biggest artists > David Bowie, Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Phil Collins, Queen, Soft Cell, Peter Gabriel, ABC, Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, New Order etc etc. We will combine radio edits with 12-inch club mixes to pull out all the stops to make the ultimate mix!"

It wasn't on the shelves this week and has been put back I believe. I was keen to see the tracklsit but it's 'In the mix' (ie. all the tracks are stuck together in one long megamix) so I probably wont bother with it.

sticking tracks together does nothing for me either.

Not released till 19 Jan 2009 in the UK anyway.

Hello. I think this is finally being released end of Feb 2009...
From what can hear it's not a megamix, more of an 80s DJ type subtle fade mix (not long pause on the dancefloor mix...) so as to recreate an 80s niteclub.

Can't see myself buying it.

Anyone know what version of the Soft Cell song it is?
I've been looking for the radio edit for years but to no avail.

Soft Cell is the classic 12" mix Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go I believe.

Hi Riverman,

I was looking for that version of Tainted Love for over 25 years.

It's on this compilation: Hard Rock Cafe: New Wave

http://www.amazon.com/Hard-Rock-Cafe-Ne ... 248&sr=1-1

Copies start at $0.10

Enjoy.

"Serving the universe, from the top of Irondequoit High School..."

Cheer for that!! Even the Soft Cell board had no clue!

Just bought this compilation - I reckon it's pretty good! The mixes are just gentle fades in reality so nothin to be scared of!
