I see they also offer it thru ebay at only $7.99 and it says remastered. Any idea if this means from master tapes? Hopefully it is not a vinyl transfer, since they are offering it as such a low price. It would be a shame to not have this in pristine sound quality.

Hopefully only the master tapes were used ??

Hopefully somebody that has bought this can comment on the quality until then i will hold off buying it. Would be great if they remastered Fabrique with loads of bonus tracks,i know there was the Height Of Fashion but the sound quality wasn't too good on that.

Luke emailed me and wrote, "This CD is remastered from the original vinyl, commercially duplicated, silver manufactured CD".
Mine is on the way.

Looks like using original master tapes is now the exception rather than the norm [:(]

Being the album was originally released on I.R.S. I can see why the master tapes were not used

The IRS masters are still all available. See reissues of The Three O'Clock and Let's Active, for example.

Even my tone-deaf ears can detect the rumbling on this.
Anybody have a tracklisting?
The inlay has 10 tracks listed, but my cd actually has 12 tracks.

edit:

I see now that one of the tracks is listed as:
Big John/Hanoi Annoys Me/The Innocent

My player must be reading this as 3 tracks

Michael,
Mine does the same thing with listing 12 tracks. The sound is a little rough. I am still enjoying it though.

Really? I think it sounds pretty good. Compared to some other discs anyways. My only fault with it is that I got the version with the remix of "Something In Your Picture" instead of the original album version.

Would be nice to see Twilight Of Idols on CD (master tapes please none of that vinyl crap)
