wow. that sounds too good to be true--hope it IS true. Especially for the 12" version of Some People on CD at last. I assume the last track is an extended version of Target Practice? That 12" version also needs to see the light of day on CD.

Hope this means they will also reissue the self titled Belouis Some cd with all of the remixes of Animal Magic in the near future.

Great news! I have "Some People" on CD. A promo I bought way back when, but I'll be happy to buy it again for what I assume is an extended version of Target Practice. I'm surprised they didn't add "Round and Round" from The Breakfast Club Soundtrack.

Does anyone else have this new reissue? Mine just arrived, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in the sound. I have some of the tracks from various compilations, CD-single b-sides, etc., and they sound better.
The sound is very muddy to my ears -- much like the latest Paul Young No Parlez reissue. (The original No Parlez CD -- the original UK one -- was so tinny that I keep thinking I've just gotten used to that sound.)
Anyone else have this? Am I the only one that thinks it sounds this way? Please help me establish that I'm not crazy (about this particular thing, not in general).

Sounds bad to my ears as well. In fact the bonus tracks sound just marginally better and i have to agree mojowkn the tracks from this that have appeared on other compilations do sound much better. The No Parlez remaster was a disaster they even managed to cut a part of Love Will Tear Us Apart out. I wanted the album remastered they way ive always known it with the 12 inch mixes and the long version of Sex which is nowhere to be found on this remaster. If people wanted the single mixes they could just have bought his singles compilation.

if that's the case, that REALLY bites. This album WITH all these bonus tracks was LONG overdue, and it simply should have been done right. I've been waiting for it to become available on amazon, which has a release date of May 19th.

I have it and I agree that it sounds very muddy. But that's Cherry Red for ya - one never knows what to expect from them (but I usually expect to be disappointed). Oh well. At least the packaging is nice, for whatever that is worth...

Oh no, my cd is on its way to me. Not another case of the Danse Society "Looking Through". Does someone not listen to these before they get pressed?!? [}:)]

I was not thrilled with the sound quality of this CD either. What drives me insane is that you can hear the hum of the turntable on many of the tracks and it's most noticeable on the dub mix of "Some People" not to mention the clicks and pops throughout.
