Did anyone pick up the Gary Myrick Videos DVD from his site? I kept on asking him but he wouldn't give me a clear answer on whether or not it was silver pressed or a dvd-r. The vagueness led me to believe it was just a dvd-r.

"The Message Is You" is one of my favorite Gary Myrick songs too. I was not even aware of a DVD of his music videos. I may want to look into that. Thank you for the information

I was looking around for the obvious typo, thinking I might have made it and then looked at the thread name. lol [:I]

Wow...this is great news. After a thread here a couple of years ago, I never could get a real answer on how legit the $40 website version was. I passed on it, convinced that it wasn't legitimately licenced from Sony.
Now, let's hope Wounded Bird gets this out soon!

Word on the street is that it will most likely be released as early as next month with another "added surprise"

I did get the CD-Rs from him. Sure, they're not "legit," but I've had them for years before this official release. Plus, he sent me a handwritten note and a copy of his "forthcoming" album (this was maybe 6 years ago, and I am pretty sure it never got released).

I would've probably broken down and eventually ordered the website version, but I was able to track down the first three records on vinyl. I burned the best tracks off each, plus the couple of tracks I already had on new wave cd compilations ("She Talks In Stereo", and "Guitar, Talk, Drums...").
I voted for this reissue on the recent thread that linked us to a Sony music poll for most desired reissues. Who knows, maybe our votes at least helped them decide to license these to Wounded Bird?

Just out of curiosity, what 80's comp is "Guitar, Talk Love & Drums" avaiable on?
