Do you know what her music sounded like? I kind of imagine it's more jazzy than new wave or dance or even Culture Club-esque? I never heard her album, but I love the Giorgio Moroder produced "Now You're Mine" (really disappointed they didn't include the 12" version as a bonus track on this release instead of just the Electric Dreams soundtrack length). I figure it will be an interesting album to have for the track with Boy George.

Watch out it's on Cherry Pop and could be masteredly horribly from vinyl like Belouis Some and Stephen Duffy. I am very disappointed in the quality from this label, it was better before. See the Belouis Some discussion if it's still on here.

I have the original CD from way back when. Hard to imagine they'd use vinyl for the master. It's not that jazzy--some MOR, some disco-pop; very slick production. Not really synth pop and certainly not "new wave". I like it a lot.

got my copy, and I also don't like it. It's that mid-80s souless british white soul with thin, weak drum machines and forgettable melodies. blech. The club stomper Now Your Mine is so out of place on this--even the 12" mixes seem pointless since they don't make the original album versions any more 'club'. The one song that I actually like is the one she sings lead on with Boy George in the back, because it sounds like something they would have recorded for Culture Club's Colour by Numbers album. Not to mention, she supplies the liner notes, and they are a total downer. She basically talks about what a miserable time life was when she put the album together and the fowl mood she was in while creating it. Gee, maybe that explains why it sux.

LOL Bud.. It's definitely a pile of crap... i would be happy just to buy the Culture Club produced single "Love Lies Lost" and the amazing "Laughter on my Mind".. shame Culture Club were close to imploding and probably never had time that they never did a proper album together during that time period.
