Thanks for the heads, but will give it a miss.....

shame really as they could of made it a better issue instead of tacking a single edit on the end, where's the dub version, 12" version, and other singles.....wasted opp there..........

This is a new reissue label called Mirco Werks.. I am not sure if they are affiliated with Collector's Choice but they have a link for them for their product

They released an excellent WAS Not Was collection recently. With alot of mixes/rarities:

Hope I can mention that, seems like people are touchy when you don't talk about "new wave" artists here. :)

Yes, it's a shame there is nothing but the single edit on this CD, but the label looks very promising.

How excitement can turn into dissapointment in just a matter of seconds, oh well...

I was really hoping for bonus tracks, something other than the single edit of "Money" there are a few select B-sides that would make this self titled-reissue complete.

Absolutely this can be mentioned here. The deal is that in the USA New Wave was narrowly defined while in the UK, it started with Post-Punk, then split off into New Pop - collectively this was known as the New Wave. A good read is Simon Reynolds "Rip It Up and Start Again" which covers the years 1978-1984.

In the US, the New Wave movement faded out completely around 1986/1987, after the MTV boom. By that time, many moved to College Rock (in the US) and Indie Pop/Rock (UK). General progression - Proto-Punk/Punk/Post-Punk/New Pop/College Rock/Indie/Grunge/Brit Pop/Alternative to now. And of course, Kraftwerk is there for the ride. And there are other sub-genres (Oi!, Hardcore, etc) thrown in for good measure.

Flying Lizards were pure Post-Punk - the rest of the album sounds nothing like Money and is rooted more in the Glaxo Babies/Pop Group type of groups - The Slits, Pop Group, Rip Rig + Panic, New Age Steppers, Maximum Joy, A Certain Ratio, Glaxo Babies, Pigbag, 23 Skidoo - all have a similar sound and influenced one another as well as shared band members in some cases.

With great news I carry, there will be a handful of bonus tracks on the Flying Lizards re-issue for their "Self Titled" album. I did some further research and with a little luck cduniverse.com has posted a full track listing. Check it out!

As far as I know it's been OOP for a long time now, and not to mention I believe it was an Japanese import.
