Talk Talk 2007 DVD?

Talk Talk 2007 DVD?

Postby Rubellan » Tue Mar 16, 2010 12:14 pm

Talk Talk released their Natural History CD/DVD set in 2007, though it is listed as a PAL DVD. The recently released Thomas Dolby CD/DVD through EMI was also listed as PAL on the packaging, but the DVD turned out to be NTSC. Can anyone confirm whether or not the DVD with the Talk Talk set was in fact PAL or NTSC? Again, this is regardless of what the packaging states, similar to the Dolby DVD. While I do have a player that converts PAL to NTSC, they always remove that "video tape" look of the early videos, so I'm curious...

States PAL on the DVD and when played in the Pioneer V7400 the PAL indicator light comes on.

All the best,

Yeah, it's PAL; resolution is 720x576 (NTSC is 720x480).

Quality is nice. It doesn't have the second (US?) version of It's My Life (which is basically the same, except it cuts to shots of the band playing/singing). I would recommend buying it.

Okay, here's the other version of It's My Life.

It is from one of those Disky 80s DVD compilations. However, the audio was crap, so I replaced it with the audio from Natural History DVD.

VOB file (video: MPG2, audio: PCM)

I was so happy when they released this cd/dvd. The quality is great in my opinion. I believe it's Pal but I don't know for sure anymore because my players all play both Pal and NTSC. I totally love that 2nd version of the "It's My Life" video with the band. They always look so into the singing and playing their instruments. I hope they decide to reunite and do an album that sounds somewhere between their 2nd and 3rd album. That would be really amazing. One of my top 10 bands of all times.
