Big Audio Dynamite reissue

Big Audio Dynamite reissue

Any thoughts?

I'm not an audiophile, but it sounds excellent in the car stereo, better than the old version, so it gets the thumbs up from me. A few of the tracks on the second disc sound a bit muddy and clipped (the "Sudden Impact" remix in particular) but for the most part they're OK.

I wish they'd included "Bottom Line pts I and II" instead of the Def Jam remix--not that it's a bad remix (not at all!), but I prefer the full version. There are a couple of edits, but frankly the "A Party Dub" is fine with a few minutes shaved off.

I hope, at least, this sells well so they can do the same with No. 10 Upping Street...

Yeah. Got mine this weekend and listened to it on my home system. Sounded great. And I definitely hope the second album is released with all the 12" mixes.

I haven't listened to the second disc yet, but I had Disc One playing in my vehicle all weekend while I was out and about. I'm loving the sound.

I agree with you: it would be worth it just for the better sound on the first disc -- and it sounds great. Second disc's a mixed bag, but I'm not complaining (too much).

I just realized my copy is a promo, i got it from Amazon Market place for a low price and the packaging is different. Instead of the plastic slip cover that goes over the paper album packaging, its in a jewelbox with a booklet and has a sticker that says "Legacy Edition."
Can you tell me what the packaging is like? Is there a slot for the booklet and the cds are held in place by plastic tray. What design is on it etc? Is there a palc
I had no idea i had a promo to i looked at it closely and saw there was no barcode and it said "Promo only not for sale." It has no cut outs or anything to show that it is.

You were ripped off if the person did not designate it as a promo. You should return it for a refund.

The actual retail version has a double fold out digipack made with high quality paper and a seperate booklet filled with notes and photos. The digipack then slips into a generic Legacy clear plastic slipcase.

It is strange that the complete 12" cuts weren't included, but I can't complain, a dbl deluxe set for $13.97 from DeepDiscount. Brings back memories of listening to Bob Dorr on KUNI (in Iowa), talking about artists like BAD and Stan Ridgway in his rumbling honey 'n' peanut butter voice. I was 15 with limited funds and access to music so I heard that album before most of the Clash albums aside from their first.

This is my first post. I stumbled on this board while googling the Orange Juice reissues. Cheers.
