Not sure why this album is being reissued AGAIN with bonus tracks when it already was in the past decade, because the later OMD albums are in serious need of expanded reissues...

Yeah, strange. It is missing the two tracks from the Factory 7", and has the "sticker" on the cover/booklet.

It looks like some dodgy reissue on a budget label.

Strangely enough I never got into OMD until i heard Crush from 1985. I think they should've remastered that as well as the Pacific Age instead of another early re-issue.

Definitely omar. those are the two I've been waiting for for a long time. It does say that the CD cover is going to replicate the original cutouts on the LP cover. Yawn.

[/quote] By the way I'm a big horror fan as well and saw on your homepage the Freddy Krugar pics. Loved em. Did you like the new remake of Nightmare ? I thought Robert England was much better !

Not sure who they are trying to target selling these cd's to because most of the people who would have bought this cd has already bought it. Attach a rare dvd concert or tv performances and it would have made this much more interesting.

And I also agree that "Crush" and "Pacific Age" should get remasters, good remasters that is.

Collector's Choice does some good remastering, so they are not "dodgy" but this is the same 2003 reissue bonus tracks in same order with 2 left off, the Hannett/Cargo Studio Sessions of Electricity and Almost.
They released Devo back catalog and Bananarama. I am suprised to see that the reissues on Collector's Choice are still in print with new Warner Remasters of same titles. Confusing.

Strange. They removed the part regarding the cover from the website. My interpretation was that it paid homage to the original cutout cover, and not that the cover was actually going to be die-cut.
You know, if they molded the jewel case with blue plastic, and had the lozenges cut out of the plastic, I would definitely buy the CD again!
Here's the cover shot from Amazon:

I didn't see Elmstreet yet. i'm not totally enthused--kind of afraid of how disappointed I'll be (halloween remake was a disaster IMO). I'm going to wait until it's out two weeks and then I can get discounted tickets through my cable company. I'm getting cheap in my old age.
