Anyone know who actually owns the rights to this album (only released on cassette and vinyl - different mixes than the ones available on cd)i am guessing polydor records but am not to sure. I wanted to get in touch with cherry red to ask them about trying to get the rights to actually publish this on cd but every time i try to contact them i never recieve a response. I find this very rude as i am willing to offer my services to help get the cd out, if there are no master tapes available i am willing to provide a high quality sourced version, i have already ripped a mint conditioned album to a high quality standard with no clicks, pops background noise etc and am willing to provide samples to show the quality (much better than many of cherry red's other vinyl sourced cd's)

i'm sure many people would like to see this release on cd, any help in contacting the right people for the job would be a good start.

Over the years I've seen this available on the net to download from various sources so I'm sure most Visage fans would have. What would be really nice is to see Steve Strange's project Strange Cruise remastered and put on cd. If you got no reply from Cherry Red why not try Edsel?

I to have seen many sourced versions of this but many have been either done at a low bitrate, some that have had speed / pitch issues, some that have had to much reduction in trying to remove pops and crackles... none have been up to a high quality standard ripped how it is supposed to sound. That was why i really wanted to see this item on cd plus i could have also provided some other rare visage tracks from that era that have never been on cd before as extras for a cd release.

I don't know who owns the rights but would love to see this get released on cd. You have one guaranteed customer if you release this.

More likely this one, sean, in which all the tracks were seagued into one continuous dance remix album.

Interesting, I never knew about this one. So is it kind of a continuous mix with different remixed versions of various tracks or all the tracks?

Good luck weirdo, I hope you can get this to go through. This would be an amazing release by the tracklisting you have provided.

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and joined to let you know some updates on these releases.
I've been in contact with Tim at Cherry Red regarding Visage. Firstly, Cherry Red's idea inbox is managed by Tim who always replies to emails. I've never had a problem with this and I can only assume that if Weirdo or anyone else has failed to get a reply then there may have been a technical issue. Cherry Red value their customers and wouldn't deliberately ignore emails ;)
Now, to the good news! A license request is about to be put in to Polydor to enable the dance mix version of the 'Fade To Grey' collection to see a long overdue CD reissue. If this fails for any reason (such as the loss of the master tapes etc. - such as happened with the Machine Mix of 'Beat Boy') then a potential mixes CD, which may also include the 'Beat Boy' album remixes, is being considered. In addition, the 'Strange Cruise' album has already been requested and is awaiting a reply for permission to reissue AND an expanded reissue of the original 'Visage' album is also under consideration!
So, as you can see, it's all good and we'll just have to wait. Some of these requests can take, literally, years to fulfill so don't expect anything before next year at the earliest.
Until then, keep the faith and remember it was Cherry Red that managed to get the 'Beat Boy' album it's long overdue CD release. I for one, wouldn't want any other company involved. After all, look at the recent badly compiled and mistake-ridden compilations that have come out! [;)]

Thanks for the updates. I hope that somehow Steve Strange would himself be involved with these cds. By the way is "The Titan Find" the name of a horror/sci fi film from the 8os ?

Welcome to the NWO, if I may make a few suggestions, for you to take back to Tim/Cherry Red(if you dont mind)? Just a couple of possible/future releases I'd love to see done?

Any chance of the first A Flock Of Seagulls disc being remastered/re-released w/bonus tracks?

Theres a number of I Ran/Telecommunication extendeds/other mixes out there, that many would welcome on this release? How about a couple more?

Andy Taylors solo disc(first one w/Take it easy)?

Peter Murphy-Deep(theres gotta be someone out there who can make a sweet extended version of "Cuts you up", that can somehow find it's way onto this disc?

Id love to see these in the near future.

Thanks.

"Keepin the '80s alive!"
