I may be a little late on this news (it was posted on the Yazoo website on Sept 13th) but thought I'd share it.
The new Yazoo/Yaz "Reconnected Live" album available on iTunes includes this rare 1983 TV show theme written and recorded by Yazoo, as a bonus track! Not surprisingly (at least on the USA and UK iTunes) it is the most downloaded track lol. Apparently neither Vince nor Alison have much affection for the track as alluded to in their statements on their official website, but nothing they did was sub-par by any means, "Get Set" included.
The downloadable track sounds beautifully remastered and plays well with the recent remastered albums and remixes.
Once in a while wishes do come true! A long sought after, never commercially released track by one of the great pop duos, finally made available for less than $1US! Awesome. Great way to start my day indeed. I'm off to go buy the 2cd live set!!!!

Anyone in the UK managed to actually download this track on its own from iTunes? It keeps blocking me - doesn't say ALBUM ONLY but just says it's not available

It is exactly the same thing in Germany as well, listed with price tag as last song of the album, but you want to buy it: 'not available'.
(song was listed for 1.29 EUR to be sold seperately -> as a sidenote, that equals 1.75 US $... see above)

I got it on Monday morning when the album was first released.

Anyone know a site that is selling this track as an individual mp3?

Does anyone know if there actually any plans at all of releasing a dvd for the "Reconnected Live"? I think I asked this on some other post but can't seem to find it. It's just a shame if they are not because that was such a great show and just to have stuff like "Too Pieces", "Mr. Blue", and "Softly Over" as a performance to watch would be so amazing.

nope - at least the German itunes store now lists the track as 'album only', so you have to buy thw hole package to get those 3x minutes...
pretty useless, considering it seemed to be available (some were able to buy it seperately) on its own.

Let's reward the people who download and screw the people who purchase the physical cd. [}:)] Are they at least offering some kind of code to purchase this when you buy the physical cd? I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

In the USA here, and my physical CD purchase said nothing about "Get Set" as a bonus download.
I just now checked the US iTunes store and "Get Set" has been changed to an "Album Only" purchase so I must have lucked out and bought it individually before they changed it. Yes, that's kinda dirty to now offer it only if you buy the whole album as a download, even if you've already forked out $20+ to buy the physical CD package! And the record industry wonders why people resort to illegal uploading and sharing!
And why iTunes doesn't offer FLAC or WAV/AIFF quality downloads yet is beyond me!!! I only buy MP3/AAC files as a last resort.

obviously itunes only wants to target these bonus tracks to their ipod users...don't companies think that the cd buying people deserve extra tracks to?
some of us still use hi-fi systems to listen to our music

with such things, one rather thinks that those people don't think at all... and it seems to be, that major parts of the industry these days wouldn't be too unhappy for the cd to die a rather fast death - they gain more profit with downloads. and companies like itunes demand a bonus track or sth special, otherwise it will just be added to the artist page but not featured on the mainpage.
especially lame if you offer a so-called deluxe edition of a cd + musicwise it contains nothing more than the basic edition (with exception of the packaging).

Wrong. Profits from CD sales are way higher than profits from downloads. That's why the old-timers who run the traditional music industry want to keep CD's around and have tried to make downloading such a hassle, despite the fact that downloads are where the future is (or rather, where the present is.)
The reason why the labels are doing so poorly and laying off so many people is precisely because physical CD sales have fallen. Forced bundling of an album's worth of songs on a CD is hugely profitable, but that old paradigm is no longer applicable. Records labels make very little money on individual downloads, and no money on illegal downloads, which is the way most people get their music nowadays.

So why not reward people who buy physical cd's with 2-3 bonus tracks that downloaders are not allowed to purchase. Isn't this all backwards? The record companies have despised the mp3 format for years. Why don't they battle mp3's head on, reduce the price of physical cd's to 12.99 and add in bonus tracks so people will go, hey I may consider buying the physical cd cause I'm getting more bang for my buck. I remember when the mp3 vs. physical cd war first began, cd prices started going up from 13.99/14.99 to 17.99/18.99. All that did was just push the casual music lover to go towards downloading and emptied out the banks faster for collectors, which both I believe really hurted cd sales.
