Only a couple of minor German online shops list it, but it's set for release 5 Nov, with a DVD - I assume with video clips. No official info yet on
www.yello.com or their record company. /JW

Ah, normally news/upcoming stuff shows first when you do a search at amazon, but in this case they were at the end. Thanks. So it seems to be a CD+DVD (Singles collection), and also a 4 disc box set "Yello by yello - the anthology", I wonder what the track listing will be.

If they count in every single release, it's not gonna fit on one cd.

The Singles CD+DVD set has the 20 biggest hits, including
a new version of Vicious Games sung by Heidi Happy.
The DVD has 23 videos.
The Anthology Box also includes a double CD
with Yello's own selection of their best material,
including two new tracks "Dialectical Kid" and
"Tears Run Dry", plus a 48 page booklet.

This is really cool. So is the dvd on The Anthology the same as the dvd on The Singles? Also, if you get The Anthology, does that mean you have everything that is on The Singles and more?

I guess so, at least track wise. But I will post the final track list as soon as it gets published, in my yello discography

And hopefully after all this they can remaster the remaining Yello albums (Baby,Zebra etc.)

They don't need to be remastered, just reissued. They sound quite nice as they are!
The remasters from 2005 in the digi-pacs with the bonus tracks are great, but the original West German Vertigo cd pressings are the way to go soundwise, imho.
It would be nice to have the two you mentioned reissued in similar cd reissues, however, I'd love to have the bonus tracks all in one place, plus they'd look nice filed next to the other 2005 reissues.
Sure wish I'd picked up that boxed set of the 2005 remasters when I had the chance!

By the way
www.theyellosite.com has revealed track listings for the upcoming releases. They're not official yet but gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Missing Rubberbandman video as well, which was on the Essential Yello DVD.

There should've been one cd containing just the 12" mixes ,along with the others.

Yes some obvious singles and videos are missing; Yello Office has been too busy lately to answer my questions, but I assume it's Yello's own decision to excluse some singles and videos, either because they don't like it enough or the master tape was not of good enough quality. Remember, this is their "Best Of" presentation, not a "rarities" collection. And typically they focus on their latesl releases - they did the same in 1986 with New Mix in One Go, which contained many tracks from Stella, and in 1992 Essential, which had much music from Baby. I hope that next year they will be interested in finally helping me complete my book on them, which will give me an opportunity to suggest releasing all those rare and unreleased tracks as well - they have lots of stuff in the vaults. /JW
