Nice! Love this album, my favourite Peter Murphy solo release. Good to see Tale of The Tongue here...
Very surprised to see Beggars Banquet license this to Cherry Red though...I know they licensed Icicle Works to them, but one of the marquee names on the BB roster being licensed out is a surprise...
Hopefully we get an expanded Dali's Car "The Waking Hour" disc in due course.

Why is Canvas Beauty not the first track (and missing altogether) on CD 1?

Great to see this album heading for a reissue and a lot of the various mixes see the light of day on CD at last. Fingers crossed that Cherry Red make a good job of it. I'd normally hope for the sleeve design to be the same as the original, but I'd have to say that I never liked the original sleeve design at all. Perhaps they might go for the Canadian version that used the 'Tale of the Tongue' design, or maybe the 'Third and Final' 'Final Solution' 12" sleeve design. Probably very unlikely, but just some thoughts...
As there are two remixes of 'Should the World Fail to Fall Apart', I'd prefer it to be the one that was on the single A side, rather than the one that was on the B side of 'Tale of the Tongue'.
And yes, where is the 'Romance' version of 'Canvas Beauty' at the start of disc one?!

Intriguing...
From the Beggars Archive site (
http://archive.beggars.com/)
"We’ve also just finished mastering an expanded edition of PETER MURPHY – Should The World Fail To Fall Apart and, in the process, discovered yet another version (previously unreleased) of the title track."

I'm wondering if the bonus stuff will be from vinyl sources or not?

Nah, i bet Beggars is just licensing through Cherry Red.... sounds like from some of their notes on the Archive page they are in control of the mastering. Everything I've heard from Beggars on the CD/digital end has been superb. With the exception a few years back of using vinyl on Itunes for some This Mortal Coil material.

I'm hoping Canvas Beauty is on there and it's just an error on the track listing - even if they'd lost the tapes surely they'd have used the previous CD - just by basic logic it should be there

It is a tracklisting error by Cherry Red, according to Beggars.

Has this been pushed back, or is the 26th still the release date? Reason i ask is...'newmusictipsheet" doesnt have anything listed for Peter for July, or Aug.....

Turns out that as well as the already listed exclusives that this release features (i.e. previously unreleased mix of 'Should The World Fail To Fall Apart' and cover of Bowie's 'Stay') there is another surprise - the 'Club Mix' version of 'Final Solution' is actually a previously unreleased mix and NOT the same as the 'Club Mix' released on the original 12" single and the Japanese 'Compositions' CD boxed set.
Additional clarification: Original 'Club Mix' clocks in at approx. 5 min 30 secs, the version on the bonus CD is 5 mins 15 secs.
