awesome. If only Retro Active released new volumes this consistently, considering they are more apt to put more rare tracks on CD for the first time. Can't wait to see the track list for this one though.

They have been mastered way too loud which seems to be the norm now.

Indeed. There's a difference between "loud" and "way too loud". Unfortunately, these 'So80s' discs are "way too loud". They are probably the loudest sounding discs in my 3,000+ CD collection. Often, many tracks are so loud that they suffer from distortion and sounding unnatural. It's one thing to be loud when it still sounds natural and true to the original recording. However, these sound like they have been mastered with "radio compression" mastering, making them sound too warm.
