The tracklist is good ... but will I be disappointed?
I want a very high quality mastering. Without defects.

Yes, and Sandra sung on all Enigma CDs (sometimes together with Michael) from 1990 until 2001 if I remember correctly.

I haven't cross-checked with her LPs, but does this compilation include mainly non-album versions? Any B-sides? Just curious... because last year all of her 80s albums (four) were issued, without any extra tracks. /JW

German Europop. All her stuff was produced by Cretu and had a distinctive sound, think about "different story" by Peter Schilling. That kind of bombastic production.

(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena is a great tune.

I don't know much of her other material.

Seriously??? Why a double disc??? We can fricking Sandra when we can't even get reissues for China Crisis, later period Heaven 17, etc, etc...

Who is asking for this stuff?

Awesome, just flat out awesome. Disc 1 is basically all of the extended versions from Sandra's first three albums which were her best three albums. Most if not all the tracks from these three albums were penned by the guys from Hubert KaH and Michael Cretu. In essence, Sandra was Hubert KaH but with a beautiful lead singer. Disc 2 are rare mixes that have been collector's items for years, instrumentals, and dub versions. Nothing on here has been on any of her regular albums.

Wow ! This will probably be the best selling set of the series. With respect to pinkyblue, she was/is huge on mainland Europe, and as has been commented above there are some real gems and rarities here. I can't wait.

Sadly Sandra never made it big in the US (hence some of the bewildered posts) or the UK. She didn't actually appear on all of the Enigma releases though, there's a lot of assumption that because she was married to Michael Cretu at the time then she layed down all the female vocals.

IS THAT THE TWELVE INCH MIX ? Out late 2010 www.robgrillo.co.uk

she was massive in Germany from 1985 to the early 90es + had lots of hits and sold tons of stuff, as Blank+Jones are Germans as well + the set is released in Germany, it should maybe a hint to this - not that I need that set personally, but there'll surely be an interest.
