Not a bad price for 7 albums. I know they aren't as critically acclaimed as Kraftwerk, but if you like ambient and at times upbeat electronic music then I think you will enjoy this. Also Tangerine Dream became more commercial sounding in the 80's so the music on this set is more melodic than the 70's set.

Cheap! Here is some info on the 4 bonus tracks:

http://www.voices-in-the-net.de/monolig ... _march.htm

"Accompanying the release of the Encore live album, Virgin released a promotional 7" single in the France. Besides a remixed excerpt of Monolight, Edgar Froese chose a track from his forthcoming solo album Ages for the B-side of the single. This track got the title Hobo March but was in fact a slightly abridged version of Ode To Granny A."

"To promote the soundtrack album Thief in France, Virgin released a promotional single."

So, in conclusion, the two first extra tracks are nice, as they are somewhat different from the album versions, but the last two tracks are from the soundtrack THIEF, and I wonder why they added them here? And I wonder how many minutes the compilers spent on the reasearch for the extra tracks? And I wonder how many TD fans would have done that better, and for free? /JW

I agree, considering that TD did many live songs in 1980/1981 that were never officially recorded. I am sure they could have put soundboard versions of these on the CD instead. Also if they are including soundtracks then where is Love On A Real Train? Surely the most famous TD 80's track.

it would be nice to have the Peter Baumann solo albums from the 80s on CD. Wonder if that will ever happen.
