It's 35 pounds according to the post. I'm in for certain on this one. Love supporting Mr. Jones' efforts to revitalize his back catalog. I only wish other artists would follow his lead. He's quite a class act.

Real shame that the bonus disc (RISK) from the first 2 albums is botched. The first 3 tracks are fine, but the rest of the tracks has the start of the next track on the end, so that the next track starts somewhere in the first second.

Talking about missed opportunities, this is al real one.

This was the case with the previous boxset as well.

At another discussion board, this flaw with the track markers has been brought up once before with regard to these c-d’s and other ones (from different artists) that have similar flaw/s. While no one can say for sure, it may not be accidental.

Putting the track markers intentionally in the wrong places makes it harder to copy the (c-d) or copy single songs when using conventional (c-d) ripping software. I have seen in one instance where a disc had 10 songs on it with 20 track marker / indexes. The disc played ok, but to move from one song to the next you would have to push the next track button twice, not to big of deal in itself, but if you tried to rip the c-d to make a back up copy, using conventional (c-d) ripping software, you would end up with 20 (half songs).

There is an easy & accurate way to fix them with out manually editing them, but you have to have software that can do a disc at once rip that also has the ability to allow you to put (< float >) the track indexes in the right places and or omit the unnecessary ones.

I'm not saying for these C-d's this was done on purpose, but it seems odd they would allow it to happen twice.

If I bought those discs at that expensive price (which was only possible via Howard's dtox-site) last year because I wanted that 3rd (RISK) disk with all those remixes so bad, I would have been really mad!

Meanwhile, after a full year, there's still no answer about how and why this happened!
That's what really troubles me.

Because of this, I'm not interested in the first box, neither the upcoming 2nd. Regarding the high price you'll have to pay for these, there's no guarantee that the next one will be error-free. It's a hopeless case to me.

A lot of people were mad about it. Especially the people that like to listen to their cd's played on (random play-back). That's when the track marker flaws become very noticeable.

On HJ's website it stated that all the remasters were very carefully redone and edited. If they didn't notice or care about the track markers that were so obvious ,maybe it wasnt an issue to them!

Just for clarification, the (audio file mastering / what you hear musically) and (c-d mastering / what you don't hear) are two different things. While they may have paid a lot of attention to what the c-d's sound/ed like with regard to the audio, I.M.O. "for the money" each should be perfect. It just doesn't seem to make much sense to make them sound nice, then put limitations on how they playback.
