Just checked out the website. It seems that several of the reissues are the 2002 remasters once again.

Which is not a bad thing going by the horrible sound on White Heat plus they are expensive as hell to pick up now. All the reissues are available to preorder on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... =382527011 I just hope the prices go down.

The track listing on Man Of Colours is awful news to me because it's the same as the last reissue - where they replaced the album version of Crazy with the single version. The version on my original CD clocks in at 4:49, the single version is 3:24. When I first heard the 2002 version of the CD and realized Crazy was the short version I literally screamed. My guess is they had to do it to fit all the bonus tracks in because I recall the CD ran nearly a full 80 minutes. But honestly, did we need Touch The Fire or Shakin' The Cage on there? Aren't those on other albums? Couldn't they have left one of them off and kept the album version of Crazy?

Anyway, unless they've found a way to fit more than 80 minutes on a CD, I'm guessing we'll get the single version again. Awful.

Also the bonus tracks on Measure For Measure are exacly the same as the 2002 release. Once again we're missing the actual 7" mix of No Promises as well as the Ext. and Dub Mixes.

Hi Jaybag

I checked my old Australian CD of Man Of Colours (Regular/Festival) and 'Crazy' runs for 3.23min. Your version must be the US/UK version. As the 4.49 min version is the one on the second music clip of 'Crazy' (International Version).

Hey Jacko - that's interesting. I saw on the website that both the Australian and International versions of the CD showed the shorter running time, but I assumed that was a misprint. I wonder why the U.S. got the longer version of the song? It's a far superior version IMHO and really should have been one of the bonus tracks instead of, say the Midnight Mix. At least I've still got my original CD but I sure would have liked to hear the song remastered.

@Magnum - that makes sense - e.g. I think the Blu Ray technology uses a a different (thinner?) laser that allows for more data to fit on one disk. It's too bad they didn't have these 90-minute disks back when CD's were your only option and if a double album didn't fit on an 80-minute disk, they'd just lop off a track or two.

I like the long version as well. It's the one used in the International version of the 'Crazy' video clip below.

I always thought it was 12" mix of the song. I will have chase up the UK/US CD. It's probably not on the remasters, as Iva Davies only owns the Australian original masters. Chrysalis records probably still own the US/UK masters, which have the longer version.

I have the hardest time trying to order anything from the Icehouse site. It keeps on giving me error messages. Has anyone else tried to order these and if so, were you successful?
