New Wave Outpost Forum

Out in July on Anagram (Cherry Red), Disc 1 is the 7" versions, disc 2 are the 12" versions. This is the first time many of the 12" versions have been officially released on CD.

This is a great concept other labels should follow.

Yes. I just got my copy in the mail the other day after being curious about more of the band's music. I got stuck on "Liberator" about a month ago and decided to investigate more. In the process, I've discovered a few more gems, including "Flying Scotsman" and "So In Love With You". I've known "Never Take Me Alive" for a number of years, but having the 12" version in excellent quality (no vinyl transfer) is the real treat! So far, and I could be wrong, I only detect "Come Back [WL Remix]" as a vinyl transfer (but it still sounds very good). Even though no mastering credits are given, the tracks have been remastered by Tim Turan @ Turan Audio Ltd.: http://www.turanaudio.co.uk/clients/

I would say this is definately worth a purchase , for me I was sold on the fact of the 12"s being available especially strangers in my town which is an excellent remix done by Zeus be held. Also the liberator 12" i believe was done by Rusty Egan from Visage fame. Quality is good to my ears

Thanks Guys.

Shame Pumpkin Man isn't on it, but I'm not complaining [:)]
