China Crisis remasters

China Crisis remasters

Postby gorjanovic » Sun Sep 02, 2012 8:01 pm

does anyone have any information about possibility of China Crisis remasters? With the double CD compilation last year I was kind of hoping for a remastered treatment of their albums that would include their singles, 12" and especially b-sides (some are on previous CD's, but not all). Chinga Crisis is one of those (rare) groups that used B-sides not as a place to put material that is not good enough for albums. Actually, some of the B-sides are my facourite tracks. And not to mention the beautiful covers (you did cut me, for example). So please please please - let's make them do this!

This gets my vote , especially Working with fire and steel

And agree about the b sides , two of my favourite tracks of their's are a golden handshake for every daughter and the one that I really hope they release on CD for the first time is Never too late which was on the b side of the limited edition 12" of Black Man Ray

Oh my goodness , if it'll ever happen? We've all been waiting for years. Or atleast a new album. The band keeps on doing all these 80s revival gigs with mainly acoustic sets.

I've queries Demon Music Group and Edsel and they've said (Edsel) that they're looking into this...if anyone is going to it, it'll be Edsel...wouldn't see an issue for Virgin/EMI to license this as if they were interested they would have done it years ago.

I could see them as deluxe 2-CD sets with all the bonuses, maybe some full live concerts (there are plenty of soundboard shows out there)...tack on a DVD of all their videos, BBC appearances, etc and this would be a winner!

BTW, the remastering on the Ultimate Crisis compilation was masterful, clean and not loud according to my ears (I'm no audiophile though)

Maybe they could even tack on the Showbiz videos off of VHS, sound and all just like they(Edsel) did with the English Beat releases.

Agree that the Ultimate Crisis remasters was done well. At least not brickwalled or MP3's/Vinyl, guess that's well now adays. LOL
