I have a friend working on Breathe's All That Jazz remaster with bsides bonus from Cherry Red. This won't be complete because there are so many remixes and bsides they won't all make fit on the 2 discs. He's now got the task of deciding what to tracks will make the cut.

It's now done. It will feature 33 tracks across two discs. Had to drop a few things due to timing limitations. All nine singles and their b-side are represented. Will be out in January.

Nice. I hope the mastering is good. I have a pretty solid collection of import/promo singles from this album, so it would be nice to have them all remastered...if they do it properly!

Excellent news! I've very excited about this reissue -- that is, as long as it's done correctly. I've been waiting for a reissue of this album for many years now. I thought that maybe Virgin would have picked up on a reissue of this album around the time of the Johnny Hates Jazz "Turn Back The Clock" reissue/remaster, but it never happened!
Hopefully, all tracks will be remastered from the original master tapes in their original lossless format (in other words, no MP3s!) I had no idea that 9 singles were pulled from the album. Amazing. Thirty-three tracks seems to be very generous, and hopefully whatever was left off wasn't that essential.

I wonder if any band members were involved in the mastering/track selection or sleeve notes ?

The official cover will be the third uk version:

The other two covers will be included full size page so you can fold the booklet to which cover you would like of three to go in the jewel case.

Please please tell me it will have the remixes from vinyl like Any Trick, the original Dont Tell Me Lies 1985 mixes and the In All Honesty ones? Super excited as 33 tracks sounds like a goldmine!!!

1st post for me!
I have a couple of questions about this release:
> All nine singles and their b-side are represented.
Do you mean "Don't tell me lies" x 2? I'm pretty sure I have every single they released and I can only count 8. And AFAIK "All this I should have known" was only a 1-track US release.
From another thread:
> Breathe's All That Jazz US CD has totally different mix of Wont You Come Back
Can you provide more information about this particular release? All CDs on discogs.com seem to have include the same track as the standard release, with a duration of 5'57"-5'58". But then again, none of the 2 CDs I have (first UK release with the couple in the cover and 10 tracks, and the Japanese release) are there, so I wonder if that particular one is not listed.
Thanks!

Wow, Cherry Red can put out a double CD for Breathe of all bands yet there are a lot of bands on their own label who get short-changed?
Happy for those who were hanging out for this but it is absolutely criminal that high quality, influential bands like Comsat Angels, The Sound and Felt for instance get bare-bones reissues (or are still out of print).
Makes me wonder who/where they are getting these ideas for reissues from...
