Surprised that it hasn't been mentioned that all 3 are now out as a double set on Raven. Currently in stock at Amazon

Wow, how'd I miss that?

Looks like there are 2 bonus tracks: "Deep In The Jungle" (from the Weird Science soundtrack) and "Shouldn't Have Given Him A Gun For Christmas" (available on New Wave Xmas: Just Can't Get Enough). 'Laundromat' was on the CD release of Happy Planet. So, nothing new to CD here, though I'm happy to know my favorite album is back in print :)

A quick question, does anybody know on which release I can find the "Radio Mix / Single mix" of Mexican Radio

I'ts a little faster than the album version
& slightly remixed

Any ideas??

There was a 3" CD single released in the late 80's/early 90's that had the radio mix and a live version of "Call of the West". I've got it boxed up somewhere in my closet.

It's on Lost Weekend, The Best of Wall Of Voodoo (The I.R.S. Years), released last November. Also on a compilation called These People Are Nuts, from '89 (which can be had used from Amazon for 10 cents.)

is the version on These People Are Nuts definitely the single mix? I compared it to the Call of the West CD version and they sound identical to me, both in mix and tempo--and the length of the tracks are the same. If the single mix is sped up, wouldn't it be at least a few seconds shorter?

I have this:

http://www.discogs.com/Wall-Of-Voodoo-M ... ase/682233

and the mix is DEFINITELY different. There is almost an extra rhythm track running underneath and the tempo is slightly faster.

But I'll be damned if I can find that little single amongst all the boxes from my last move!

That discogs listing you included has the song running like 12 seconds shorter than the versions I have, so I don't think the single mix is on These People Are Nuts. I was just checking out different postings on youtube, and the one that runs about 3:55 has a Spanish language voice over during the intro! That is not on the version that runs 4:09. Is that included on the single mix you have?

The slightly shorter version, with the Spanish intro, is also on Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Hits of the '80s, Volume 8.

Sorry, actually the single mix is on "On The Charts I.R.S. Records 1979-1994" (also cheap used on Amazon).

You can tell because in the fade out of the single mix, Stan says "Oleo, radio..." He doesn't say "Oleo" on the album version.

okay. thanks for all the hints guys. Indeed, the version on Just Can't Get Enough 8 is the single mix, with the spoken Spanish overdub intro and the "oleo radio" on the fade out.
