Hi,
Does anyone have a site where we can pay to download the many reissues instead of buying them as cd's.
I looked on amazon for some (deacon blue) but for downloads you can only buy the old version of the album.

itunes !
I don't use it much because I prefer CDs but if you are into PWL related stuff for example then it is excellent as there are many more mixes on itunes than have ever been released on CD
IS THAT THE TWELVE INCH MIX ? Out late 2010

It's up to the label whether they (also) make the album available as MP3s, and if so, from which retailers. If it's not available digitally from Amazon and/or iTunes, it's probably not available digitally at all. But a google search can be helpful. /JW

What's the difference what the source is if your buying compressed. Might as well be the old release. Now if your looking for quality then why would you want them compressed? Just buy the cd, rip it, then compress, at least you then have both. Personnaly I couldn't imagine ever paying money for compressed $***. Even for something like portable players for the gym I always use LPCM.

"Compressed" is relative, like most things. If you compress to MP3 from a dull sounding CD, it will sound dull, even as uncompressed WAV or FLAC. If you compress from a crisp and hifi sounding CD, it will sound crisp and fresh even if you compress it, as long as the bitrate is good (years ago 192 kbps used to be standard, now it's more like 320). The "weak link" is more likely to be the sound carrier, such as what speakers/headphones you're using.

I wouldn't disagree with that. Just quite supporting crappy low quality releases from the industry. If they think they can profit with less they will continue to do it.
