Andy's own (?) label Apehouse reissued all albums 22 Oct last year, here is Mummer

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mummer-XTC/dp/B ... 087&sr=8-1

I wonder about the sound, if it has been approved...?

They are the 2001 remasters. Don't see the point in them being reissued to be honest because it's not as if they went out of print.

I'm a huge XTC fan, and I can tell you those remasters were a big disappointment to fans and the band weren't crazy about them, either. The sound was brickwalled/modernized for modern listening devices -yuck!, no bonus tracks other than what was already on them, and the artwork was shoddily reproduced in some cases. You'd be much better off seeking out the original cds on Geffen, or better yet, the Virgins, trust me. Unless you do your listening on an ipod or your computer, anyways....[:)]

The good thing about these reissues being on Ape House is hopefully Andy and the band get a bit more change in their pockets from royalties! [:D]

Ok thanks. I still have my old Virgin CDs, with the bonus tracks placed in between the original vinyl sides... funny. I remember the reason why I never bought those 2001 remasters was the booklets - the text was so small it was almost impossible to read. I just thought that Apehose was somehow Andy's own label sort of, and that he would have more control of the quality then. /JW
