The most successful outing by Colin Vearncombe originally released in 1987 coming out as a deluxe 2CD set March 18th.

Yet another worthy reissue I'm looking forward this year to.

At least the 2nd disk lists a couple of versions of "Everything's Coming Up Roses"...maybe the omission on disk one is a typo?

Regardless, I'm very much looking forward to this reissue; some timeless songs here.

I think it's not as it surely could be a typo indeed, as Paul Sinclair said in the comments below the news.

The original album tracklisting was:

1. Wonderful Life
2. Everything's Coming Up Roses
3. Sometimes For The Asking
4. Finder
5. Paradise
6. I'm Not Afraid
7. I Just Grew Tired
8. Blue
9. Just Making Memories
10. Sweetest Smile
11. Ravel In The Rain
12. Leave Yourself Alone
13. Sixteens
14. It's Not You Lady Jane
15. Hardly Star-Crossed Lovers

Wouldn't have known what label is reissuing it. Couldn't find it anywhere on Amazon.

Definitely excited about this upcoming release! A shame that the Ugly Man recordings of 'Everything's Coming Up Roses' and my favourite, 'Sometimes For The Asking' are not included, but otherwise this looks great.

For people in the USA, it is $10 cheaper (about $20) to order from Amazon UK than from Amazon in the USA. Not sure why, but it is what it is[^]

Shame the four Janice Long session tracks were removed. Sleeve reproduction is a bit disappointing with the lettering too small but a new interview with Colin in the booklet, didn't enjoy his fame too much...

Anybody know more about The Fairly Mental Mix of ECUR or the Echo Bass and Sax mix of SFTA, were these just unreleased versions?

K, I just received my copy in the mail today and must admit I was sadly disappointed that there's a glitch in the audio...track 1, at 1:23 when he says, "...no need to run" the word "To" sounds like a vinyl record that somebody banged the needle with their arm while it was recording. It sounds awful...is it just my CD, or has anybody else heard this on their copy they received?

As a side note (and this is just my personal preference), I wasn't impressed with many of the b-sides, nor did I care for the Fairly Mental Mix of Everything's Coming Up Roses. Coming from someone who LOVES every track on this album, I was expecting to love most of the bonus tracks, but I really didn't. It might require a couple listens to really appreciate the new tracks.

I just listened to my copy has the same problem Cory. I actually didn't even notice it too much but of course now I will. [:(] It's probably not as bad as someone banging the needle but it does sound like some kind of weird distortion of the word "to". Again they need to have someone carefully listen to this stuff more carefully before sending it to press. When I released my cd's in the 90's, I listen to the masters so much I got sick of it. The bonus disc didn't impress me much either.

Oh great i have listened to my copy yet but will report back if the error is on mine. There are four 5 star reviews of this on amazon but then maybe they haven't listened to this properly.
