Bloody heck! Didn't realise that they were still going / reformed. Original line up? What year was the last album they released under this name do you know?

Clark Datchler the original singer is back on board . I think they put out two albums.

They have been going again since 2009. The line-up consists of Mike Nocito (bass guitar) and Clark Datchler (vocals, keyboards, guitar). Calvin Hayes (keyboards, drums) left in 2010 to focuse on writing a book about his father. He resides in the US now.
The last album they did under this name was 1991's "Tall Stories" which flopped out of the charts. Phil Thornalley (ex-The Cure) led them at the time.

The single Magnetized was played on Radio 2 last week...it's surprisingly brilliant and totally contemporary.

The album appears to be via Pledge Music and is there on the website now.

The new single sounds awesome . Hope they promote the album well. I always liked those late 80s bands. Whatever happened to Curiousity Killed The Cat etc?

From what I understood, the band released 2 albums in the late 80's
and shortly before or shortly after that 2nd album, they changed
their name in (the shortened) Curiousity.

In the early 90's they released a couple of singles (Hang On In There
Baby, Gimme The Sunshine) and 1992's "Hang On in There Baby" peaked at number three on the British charts, and the band disappeared from the music scene until they joined the 80's nostalgia ''Here and Now'' tour in 2001. After that, they closed shops I suppose ...

The new single is awesome but there is one part of the song that they actually threw out. It is this hypnotic keyboard section that really belonged on the song. I am not sure why they got rid of it. Here is a link to that keyboard section.

I agree. Mile High should've been a single as well. Especially as there was a 12" mix as well

Thanks! Magnetized sounds like it will be an amazingly good album when it's released in May. I just love Lighthouse and Magnetized itself - the other two tracks are growing on me already.

Must head off and buy Turn Back The Clock now - haven't given that album a thought for 20+ years!!!

Cheers

Hey Steve,
"Turn back the clock" was a slow-burn discovery for me. "Shattered Dreams" released when I was six. I only fell in love with it when I was 17. Discovered the album's title track when I was a sophomore in college. Went nuts about "Don't Say Its Love" in 2008 and discovered the rest of the album in the summer of 2011 - right before interviewing the band. Needless to say, it is a "desert island" album for me that truly stands the test of time. Right up there for me with albums like "Songs from the big chair" (Tears for Fears), "Hopes and Fears" (Keane), and "Older" (George Michael).
