pick up a later edition of the Cherry Red release of Some People after they supposedly "fixed" it? I'm wondering if it ever was corrected or if they're still selling those HORRENDOUS copies.

I think it's still messed up. You're better off obtaining a mint LP if you can and just convert it to mp3s if you can . Otherwise if anyone has a rare Japanese promo cd from years ago , they might be able to make a new remastered version (pretty unlikely ).

I emailed them three times and got ignored. Ended up with the jap promo cd which sounds amazing.

Maybe you could request CR to use your promo cd and redo the whole thing .

Now I see promo jap CD on Ebay for Price:US $444.99

I bought a copy at discogs.com for US $45 last week. Hopefully it will arrive soon and safe....

What exactly was the problem with this Cherry Red release?
